More importantly, by focusing on file progression instead of billable time, ISYS NCMs work intensively to ensure two things: 1) that the injured worker gets the medical treatment they need, when they need it, and in the amount they need it; and 2) keeping a close eye on any medical treatment that is unnecessary, untimely and/or excessive. By focusing on these two things, ISYS NCMs are able to deliver on our promise to our customers: the most cost effective Nurse Case Management that consistently achieves successful outcomes for all direct parties involved.

The impact of the CaseSmart® approach is particularly evident in Catastrophic and Rush files, where it is critical for the NCM to gain control of the injured worker’s medical treatment.
