This past month, ISYS’ Charitable Activities Committee hosted another company picnic for charity. We gathered at a regional park in Southern California and were excited to have so many of our team members come, many from out of the area, and even out of state. It was good to enjoy some old-fashioned together-time outdoors with coworkers, families, and friends!

The day’s activities included a morning hike, an appetizer/dip contest, taco bar, photo booth, bounce house with slide, a pie eating contest, water balloon toss, a petting zoo, and last but not least, we held a 50/50 raffle and raised over $550.00 for charity. It was a fun-filled picnic!

Our 50/50 raffle fundraiser was donated to One Love Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, the host of our petting zoo (equipped with a cat tent, birds and tortoise pens). One Love’s mission is, “To help any animal in need by providing care, attention and rehabilitation before finding them a loving, forever home.” One Love rescues, rehabilitates, shelters and homes animals in need. They collaborate with volunteers and vets to ensure the best possible outcome. When necessary temporary foster homes are secured, and One Love provides long-term sanctuary to animals with special needs.

Some of the many varieties of domestic animals that are helped by One Love in the Southern California region include: cats, dogs, birds, pigs, goats, rabbits, ducks, chickens, guinea pigs, chinchillas, turtles, tortoises, lizards.
